The next Motorola Razr folding smartphone is expected to feature a much more high-end spec which will displace the previous model released back in 2019. The previous Motorola Razr folding phone for example is a complete disappointment for almost everyone despite the high price tag on the device which couldn’t deliver as much as it’s expected to.
It started failing our expectations when the device was released with the mid-range Snapdragon 710 chipset and a 16MP main camera while the price was a staggering US$1,500 as though the folding capability was the only thing the device could do differently.
The latest which was based on a report gotten from Twitter well-known leaker Evan Blass said the next Motorola Razr folding smartphone will finally feature the much awaited 5G technology as well as come with a 48MP primary sensor with a dedicated 20MP front facing selfie camera while the display will remain as the previous model which is a 6.2-inch display.

Speaking of failing to impress, the previous Motorola Razr had only 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage without any room for expansion through MicroSD card. But this time around, there will be a bump up which would get the device to reach a storage space of 256GB which by far is now joining in the high-end flagship arena.

It is also expected to house a physical SIM card which will complement it’s e-SIM. The device according to Evan Blass will have dual camera which means there will be an accompanying camera aside the main 48MP primary sensor which should enhance the photos taken with the device but then we wouldn’t know if the secondary sensor would be a depth sensor or an ultrawide-angle sensor.
While the previous model also got announced back in November of 2019, it didn’t hit store shelves until February which is a long time and that should also stop this time around but the COVID-19 pandemic season has turned the entire world into total uncertainty which means we wouldn’t know much enough if the device will be announced or released this year meanwhile Samsung is already being rumored to already be planning out on releasing its own Galaxy Fold 2.
