Motorola is obviously not giving up just yet in the premium flagship smartphone arena as new report has it that the company is planning to debut a new smartphone line with a codename “Frontier”.
The device is said to come with some interesting features and flagship-level specifications – an attempt to sway users away from well-established premium flagship brands like Samsung and Apple.
One of the most interesting thing is the fact that Motorola will be taking the display of the device up a notch by making the 6.67-inch curved OLED panel on the device 144Hz refresh rate. That is insane for a non-gaming smartphone but there’s more.
It will of course be powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or something much ore powerful, if any exists. Storage option will reportedly range between 8GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage.

The craziest part is that the device will make use of Samsung’s S5KHP1 sensor as its main snapper along with another Samsing S6KJN1SQ03 (JN1) 50MP ultra-wide camera and a smaller 12MP IMX663 telephoto lens.
So far, Motorola is willing to put all its technology into this single device and thanks to the brand itself, a good marketing and great software are things that will help popularize this device – at least if it meets up with the anticipation.
Finally, charging speed could be in for a bog upgrade since the Frontier is said to charge at up to 125W via its Type-C port and 50W wirelessly.
