Just this past week, we heard news about the release of the OnePlus 7T which was really a great smartphone. It comes with everything premium though there was definitely some exclusion probably to be added on to the “Pro” version of the device.
OnePlus over these years is known to have been disrupting the smartphone market since the beginning when the first OnePlus One smartphone was released with a ton of premium features yet for a much mid-range price-point. That seems to be the core value of the company as it’s not desisting from that anytime soon.
But we all know that the company was following the trails of Apple in the good Ol’ days when the company releases just a smartphone each year. This year has been the different probably because the smartphone market had grown too big and the competition is too fierce and so companies needs more products to keep the tracks and reach more customers who are willing to pay premium or those who are on the budget.
The inclusion of the “T” version of the OnePlus 7 this year has been met with mostly positive feedback and people seems to be cool with the device. So what else do we know about the next which is of course the “7T PRO”?
When is the Release date of the OnePlus 7T Pro
- 10 October 2019
The OnePlus 7T was unveiled in the India market last month on the 26th to be precise meanwhile there is said to be another tech event taking place on the 10th of October right in London and we think OnePlus 7T Pro might be unveiled during that event.
How much will the OnePlus 7T Pro cost
- Around $670/£650 ( ₦ 243,000/R 10,315)
The OnePlus 7 Pro starts at $669 or £649 ( ₦ 243,000/R 10,315) . We expect the OnePlus 7T Pro to stay around the same price point. Also considering the price point of the other OnePlus 7T which is a bit lesser than the OnePlus 7 Pro, one might assume the Pro version of every smart devices is sort of an upscaled model which would usually have more specifications as well as more price-points.
What will the OnePlus 7T Pro look like
- 7T Pro expected to be same as OnePlus 7 Pro
- Full screen, pop up camera
There was a said leak which shows that the OnePlus 7T Pro looks quite similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro as well based on the front design. The latter which has a full display as well as a triple camera setup with a slim vertical housing as well as a pop out front-facing camera.
How much more sophisticated the design would be is left for debate but if we are to consider the look and feel of the OnePlus 7T, there seems to be nothing really interesting about the device as it is very simple and offers a frosted glass at the black just as we’ve seen on the iPhone 11 Series.
What about the Display resolution
- OnePlus 7T Pro expected to increase resolution
- In-display fingerprint sensor
Comparing the OnePlus 7T Pro beside the OnePlus 7 Pro which has a massive 6.6-inch Quad HD+ display. What we learnt is that this model is expected to also feature something of that caliber with an aspect ratio of about 19.5:9 as well as an AMOLED panel, a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass, a 90Hz refresh rate and of course an HDR10+.
An under-display fingerprint scanner/sensor is expected because that already appeared on the OnePlus 7Pro and it’s in fact the new trend nowadays so it won’t be anything strange if found on the new device in few days to come.
What about the Hardware Specs
- Updated hardware likely
- 5G enabled for Pro
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus
As for the Hardware of the OnePlus 7T Pro, there is possibility that the device might steer clear from it’s predecessor. Take for example, the OnePlus 7 Pro features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC but then I wonder if that powerful chipset would also power this new device up or not.
Aside that, there are speculations this device could offer a 5G support just as the specially made OnePlus 7 Pro 5G considering the fact that Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO said the company would release a new 5G handset in Q4 of 2019.
As for the RAM of the OnePlus 7T Pro, it could be in the range of 6GB, 8GB or even 12GB while the storage could span from 128GB to about 256GB. Rumours suggest the 7T Pro will have 8GB RAM and come in a 256GB storage option.
A 4000mAh battery is on board the OnePlus 7 Pro with Warp Charge 30 Fast Charging. Rumours suggest we will see a 4085mAh battery on the OnePlus 7T Pro, which is pretty much the same.
And the Cameras?
- Same setup as OnePlus 7 Pro
- Possible software improvements
It will definitely have a multiple camera setup just as the OnePlus 7 Pro which has about triple rear camera setup with its main camera sensor being a 48-Megapixel sensor. The it was coupled with a 16-Megapixel ultra-wide camera as well as an 8-Megapixel telephoto camera. The front facing camera would be a pop-up camera with a 16-Megapixel sensor.
And finally the Software
- Android 10 (Oxygen OS built on it)
OnePlus confirmed the OnePlus 7T will launch on Android 10, so we’re expecting the same treatment for the OnePlus 7T Pro.
The company’s own skin is called the OxygenOS which is a customized Android OS. The device will boost the new Android 10 OS and feature everything key from Google services to enhance the power of the OS out of the box.
