Yesterday I was at work and during a certain period of over seating, I had to stand up and take a long walk down the ball.
While I came back I noticed my screen had been disarranged. Desperate to know who did, I asked my other colleague who sits right next to me. She then told me the Editor In Chief was passing by and saw what I was designing and fell in love with it.
In her bid to see it well, she accidentally dissarranged what I was doing then she ran away… It was funny but I had to just click on the CTRL + ALT + Z to undo what she had done.
I left my PC opened because its boring to always have to go through a long way to lock my PC everytime.

Knowing others might be having this same issue, I have decided to write this list of ways to quickly lock your windows 10 PC using some key combos.
Here are the 4 ways to quickly and manually lock your windows 10 PC.
1. Windows-L
Hit the Windows key and the L key on your keyboard. Keyboard shortcut for the lock!
2. Ctrl-Alt-Del
Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. On the menu that pops up, click Lock. Boom, done.
3. Start button
Tap or click the Start button in the bottom-left corner. Click your user icon and then select Lock.

4. Auto lock via screen saver
You can set your PC to lock automatically when the screen saver pops up.
Go to Control Panel > Appearance & Personalization > Change screen saverand then check the box for On resume, display logon screen. You can also set a time for how long your PC should wait before starting the screen saver.
Now, when you exit out of the screensaver, you’ll need to enter your system password to get back in.
With Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft moved this screen saver setting from the Control Panel to Settings. You can find it by going to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Screen saver settings.
As you can see, locking your Windows 10 PC for whatever reason can be easily achieved without having to put your works on a risk.
Share in the comment if you know of any other means by which you can easily and manually lock your windows 10 screen.
Thanks Metti for the head up. Now my own colleague of boss won’t have to snoop through whatever i’m doing without my consent anymore.😀
Nice tips and hacks. Keep it up.
