Apple won’t stop amazing us and the just concluded event at it’s Cupertino Campus on Tuesday is an obvious example of that. Whether going from one amazing innovation to the other or just maintaining almost the same identical product and then slapping a newer price tag as well as few tweaks then label it “Revolutionary”
But of course, the iPhone 11 is just another wonder in 2019. And while there were numerous leaks all over the internet many months back, Apple released almost that same leaked design. The iPhone 11 isn’t the only thing Apple released on Tuesday the 10th of September.
The company also announced a newer version of it’s older products such as the Apple Watch Series 5, the iPad Pro 2019 as well as a new Mac computer all having software upgrades and little hardware tweaks.
The iPhone 11 is the entry level or the budget friendly iPhone this year which is taking over from the last year’s iPhone XR with the latter getting a little bit of price slash. The main focus of the iPhones these year seems to be on photography. The iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max which are the premium flagships both spots triple camera sensors. But without further ado, let’s talk about all the products Apple released on Tuesday.
The trio: iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max
They all look the same especially when turned to the front. The new iPhone 11 adopted the front design of the 2017 iPhone X which has an ultra wide notch and an all screen display which seems to already be outdated in 2019 considering how far Android smartphones that adopted that same design had gone.

Flipping the device backward is where majority of the changes are. For example, the triple or squared camera arrangement is very noticeable. The camera are ultra-obvious especially on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Other noticeable changes on the device includes the shift of the logo to the center-middle of the back. Also matte finish which doesn’t attract fingerprint as opposed to the glossy iPhone XS also, there are about 6 different color options to chose from. All these are parts of the hardware upgrade on the iPhone 11 series.
Other upgrades includes the inclusion of a Dolby Atmos audio system, a Wi-Fi 6 support but there doesn’t seems to be any support for the 5G network yet since Tim Cook didn’t bother to mention it during the announcement. He didn’t forget. It’s a missing feature.
With the new improved front facing camera, you’ll be able to take Slow-Motion videos which Apple referred to as “SloFies” even though no body seems to care about it. The device draws it’s energy from the power efficient A1 Bionic Processor which also features a much faster graphic processor. Playing RPG games on this device will be amazing.
Both the iPhone 11 Pro and the 11 Pro Max features a so-called “Super Retina XDR” OLED displays which are based on the Pro XDR Display that has similar specs but not OLED. A more power efficient processor is probaby going to be Apple’s selling point this time around. The iPhone 11 Pros are tipped to last 4 to 5 hours more than their predecessors the iPhone XS and XS Max. The iPhone 11 Pros also comes with a fast-charger adapter out of the box.
The cameras on the duo Pros includes an extra Ultra-wide lens which Apple claimed would zoom 4X without deterring the quality of the image being captured. Apple was also very proud of its new Deep Fusion technology, which drives its improved Smart HDR multishot mode. It starts at $999, and the larger 11 Pro Max starts at $1,099. Preorders begin Friday and ship on Sept. 20.
As for pricing of the three devices, the iPhone 11 starts at $699. The iPhone 11 Pro starts at $99.99 while the largest iPhone 11 Pro Max starts at 1,099.
What about the Apple Arcade and Apple TV Plus
You might not really be interested in the Apple Arcade just yet but the Apple TV Plus might try and go head to head against existing on-demand TVs like Netflix and Amazon Prime. The Apple Arcade for a fact is going to also be a subscription based platform which will run for $4.99/month per family with a month free trial.
Apple also boasted 100 premium arcade games which are exclusive to the platform. While those games might not really interest real Gamers, the platform can be a place to catch fun ones in a while if you wish.
But the Apple TV Plus has exclusive TV shows and programs which Apple will be giving out free of charge to those that buy any of their devices this year.
These are the games we saw demo’d when Apple Arcade was being introduced:
Frogger in Toy Town, from Konami
Shinsekai: Deep Sea, from Capcom
Sayonara Wild Hearts, from Annapurna Interactive
The Apple TV Plus will go live on the 1st of November this year in over 100 Countries around the world. The subscription price for the online TV service is $4.99/month for each family.
Another iPad 2019?
Yes. Apple is launching another iPad which would take over from the previous generation iPad. The new iPad 2019 features a new A10 Fusion SoC and adds a Smart Connector plus a new smart keyboard cover. Nothing new about the design here but the device gets an optimized iPad OS.
Playing games on this device should be amazing considering the improved screen brightness. The pricing of the iPad 2019 starts at $329 while it hits the store next month.
And Lastly, the Apple Watch Series 5
Yes it’s official now and the Apple Watch Series 5 features an always-on display that can drop to as low as 1Hz which would save power consumption. The new smartwatch also features optimized faces as well as an internal compass.
There are two models with different capabilities. The GPS models for example will start at $399 and $499 for cell models. Series 3 stays in the line, but the price has dropped to $199 to start. The company also announced three new health studies: hearing, heart and movement and menstrual-cycle tracking.
The new Apple products in 2019 aren’t about new designs unlike the likes of Samsung and Huawei. Apple’s 2019 releases is all about optimization and enhanced services which will help the company stay in the fierce and competitive tech market.
