The technology of the Apple AirTag is one that is amazing and can help you quickly locate your missing item or even places if used the right way. Many times, I’ve often thought about making use of this device to track a car or any other valuable but how about making use of the AirTag to locate your child, your gadget, your campsite, and many more unconventional places that you might have never thought about in the past.
One of the reasons I often recommend the AirTag, especially to iPhone users is due to its efficiency and its tight integration into the Apple ecosystem. That said, the AirTag which is pretty tiny and has a durable battery can be placed anywhere and can be checked on a periodic schedule to check its status even though as a smart device, you can literally monitor its progress directly from your smartphone so far there is a good Bluetooth connection.
Of course, you have to be in a good Bluetooth range to find the AirTag, the ability to use the “Find My” service in an attempt to locate the AirTag sort of simplifies everything. Also, there is this big network that Apple has built around its iPhone with which an army of iPhones can be used to search through your own AirTag. CNET wrote a comprehensive guide on how the device works here.
But without any further ado, below are some of the places you can have your AirTag placed in order to locate your other devices, location, or even a person.

Track your Luggage

This is an amazing one and the AirTag can be very handy in this situation especially if you’re traveling or trying to locate missing luggage. When traveling heavy, it’s often easy to misplace an item. Another scenario is the difficulties you’d face while trying to pick your bag from a conveyor belt and in a situation where there are similar bags, the decision to go ahead and pick any bag at a random might not entirely be a good idea which is where the AirTag comes in.
Before leaving your home that day you’re making the trip, just drop the AirTag inside your bag – a place where you can easily pull it back out when done and just go ahead with your trip.
This can also save you a turn of effort in case someone accidentally picks up your bag for whatever reason best known to them. That way, you’re just going to save yourself a turn of time and unnecessary effort in an attempt to locate your missing bag.
Your e-Bike or Bicycle
Whether you’re going on recreational cycling or you’re just trying to commute to the nearest place on your scooter, hoverboard, segway, e-bike, or bicycle, you certainly need to have your AirTag well placed on these devices in order to quickly locate them.
While modern transportations systems such as those mentioned above now come with some tracking technology that let you quickly locate either of them, in case you are still using an older scooter or just a normal bicycle that isn’t “Smart” then an AirTag will certainly come in handy just in case some intruder comes to steal them away while you weren’t paying attention.
Just as if you’re playing Call of Duty Mobile, you can easily pull out your device and locate your bike where you left it off so you can easily walk back there and pick it up and ride off.
Locate your Laptop easily
Laptops are very essential even though the new generations might argue that smartphones have taken over from these bigger devices but the reality is many of us still work on our computers as they’re much more efficient.
Because of this, you don’t want to lose your laptop when next you check-in at the local cafe or at the office especially if you’re hauling a lot of things at the same time.
That said, you might just need to have your AirTag placed inside one of the pockets of your Laptop bag just in case something made you forget your “indispensable” laptop.
Camping in the woods?
Ah! This one is also pretty essential if you’re camping in the woods and there are a lot of similar camping tents, trailers, or RVs, you may want to have your AirTag placed somewhere easy to access when next you’re taking a long walk into the woods and in order to save yourself the embarrassment of barging into somebody else’s trailer or tent when you come back, just pull out your iPhone and locate your own tent among the numerous tents at the campsite.
It can also come in handy in any camping situation be it religious camping, a mega-concert, or just a hike in the wood or in a place you’re not entirely familiar with. You can always use it as a tracking device to always find your way back to where you came from.
Other electronic gadgets
If you’re the type of person that often gets carried away with so much that you forget things that you brought to a place, then you may want to have your AirTag on your devices such as your AirPods casing or any TWS earbuds casing for that matter. I’ve personally been in a situation as such where I forgot to pick up my earbuds charging case while I was at the restaurant. Luckily, I found it three days later.
Also, you may want to have it placed on your remote control, secondary smartphone, your keychain, your favorite jacket pocket when next you’re going out, your wallet or purse, and so forth.
