While the iPhone X Max is one big beautiful smartphone carefully designed and created to fit right well into our everyday lives, there would always be some unforeseen circumstances.
This is the case with the iPhone XS Max which reportedly got exploded in a man’s pocket after over heating just few days in December 2018. While the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was a total failure because of the explosion horror in 2016, the iPhone XS Max might be the new horror in town but not quite the case.
The allegation of the explosion was said to be right after an iOS update. The alleged iPhone XS Max exploded right when the device was well tucked into the man’s pocket.
The device owner; J. Hillard then sent his report and took couple of pictures of the burnt device to iDrop News which broke the news exclusively to the general public.

The alleged event happened on the 12th of December 2018 at around 3 PM somewhere around Columbus, Ohio. Hillard claimed there was a strange smell that came out of his back pocket, where the phone allegedly was, and, at the same time, he claims to have felt a “large amount of heat” burning his skin. Moments later green and yellow smoke came out of the iPhone.
Left no other option, I had to exit the room since there was a female in the break room with me and remove my pants. I ran to the boardroom where I got my shoes and pants off as fast as possible. A VP of our company put the fire out with a fire extinguisher because he heard me yelling.
A replacement unit was offered to Mr Hillard right after he took the device to an Apple Store. But the replacement was rejected while Hillard took his damaged phone back home from what where was labelled the Apple Care.

Hillard doesn’t seems to be asking too much than the “restitution for the clothes and shoes ruined in the incident, as well as costs to cover his wireless service which he was unable to use during his time negotiating with Apple”.
