YouTuber and leaker Jon Prosser is at it again with a new update where he released a video detailing what he thinks might just be the next generation MacBook Air laptop from Apple.
The popular YouTuber shared renders of the concept design which is said to be based on the images of the MacBook Air components which he has seen.
In his render, the most obvious thing you get to notice about the design is the removal of the wedge shape design on the computer which now gives it the ultra-thin design aesthetics.
Jon Prosser further claimed that the new MacBook Air will feature white keycaps along with larger function keys which will cause the reduction in the size of the trackpad compared to the previous model.

One of the most interesting detail about the rumor is the fact that the MacBook Air could be sold in the same multiple color options as the newly announced 24-inch iMac’s stand.
In terms of the screen size of the “next-gen” MacBook Air, he didn’t specify or his source didn’t know so much about this and that is why we feel some artistic license might have been used in the renders.
In terms of ports, we’re told that there will be two USB-C ports although there is no information on whether MagSafe will be making a triumphant return as had been rumored.
Apple don’t usually just switch their product’s entire design suddenly instead, it goes through a slow process that happens year after year and that is why this concept might never be the final output when the company finally put out the official next-generation MacBook Air.
But the above render is pretty interesting and if Apple can pull off the removal of the wedge shape to make the MacBook Air even slimmer, then that will be a pretty decent addition and an interesting to have for that matter.
And as for the release, information about that aren’t official and Jon Prosser believes the new computers might not be released until later in the year 2021 – at best which is why we might have to wait a little bit and see what Apple is willing to pull.
