Usually I’m used to the process of having to take pictures edit them and then transfer them onto my Smartphone so as to be able to upload the pictures to my Instagram account but those processes takes some time and it’s really boring.
I always knew there should be a way around this. And well that’s the fact. There is always a way around things.
So rather than having to transfer files to my phone in order to upload them to Instagram, I can just upload to Instagram from PC.
There are two ways around this. The first works nearly for everyone while the other might not. But the story is the same. If one doesn’t work out, then you can switch to the other.
How to upload to Instagram from PC
Bluestack.! This wonderful application is an Android emulator right on your computer. It mocks the look and feel of a real android tablet right within your PC which therefore creates an environment that any android application can run on.
Like I said, any. For example, you don’t have to only download and install Instagram application alone on Bluestack.
You can also try other applications like Mortal Kombat, Fruitslash etc.
So back to the quick overview of publishing contents directly to your Instagram account from your PC.
- Download Bluestack by going to their website
- Navigate to where you’ve downloaded the installer file (usually the download folder in your file explorer) then look for the software and double click to run the application or right click to Run as Administrator.
- The installation processes is quite straightforward but will take minutes for completion.
- Afterward, click finish and then the Bluestack will open
Now After you’ve successfully installed Bluestack and running on your PC, then click on the My Apps tab and then look for a folder called System Apps. Clicking on that will open some default Android applications. All we need here is the Google Play store.
Launch the Play Store application by double clicking on it and then search for Instagram (Make sure you’re connected to the internet).

Install Instagram and then wait till it’s completely installed after which you can launch the application by simply clicking on the Open Button right in the Install screen or simply exiting the Play Store application and heading to the same My Apps tab to run the Instagram application.
Alternatively, you can Head to GetJar to download the Instagram APK file and then save the file to a directory where you can easily access it.
This time, click on the My Apps tab and then right at the Right Bottom side of the application, click the Install APK button which will open the Window’s file explorer where you can look up for the recently downlaoded Instagram APK file.

Click on it to install the Application on the Bluestack application and then launch it like a regular application. Afterwards, you can sign in to your Instagram account and then directly upload to Instagram from pc….thanks to Bluestack.
THE SECOND METHOD TO UPLOAD TO INSTAGRAM FROM YOUR COMPUTER
Launch the Instagram website and then sign in to your account (Make sure you do this using the updated version of the Google Chrome or Safari). This process is better and faster so you wouldn’t need to download some extra software on your PC.
FOR CHROME:
After you’re signed in to your account, right click and press the Inspect button which will open a sider (developers HTML code section for you) Then click the Toggle Mobile/Table button which is located at the top left of the Developer console (represented with phone/tablet icon)
When you click on this, then refresh the page and you’ll see the mobile interface which you would usually see if you were browsing from your mobile browser.
YEAH! Thats it. You can click the regular + button to upload your pictures directly to Instagram right from your Windows/Mac.
FOR SAFARI:
On Safari, it’s easy. Open Safari > Preferences > Advanced. Check the box at the very bottom that says, “Show Develop menu in menu bar.”
Then open a private browsing window. Head to Develop > User Agent > Safari — iOS 10 — iPhone. Go to Instagram.com as usual, sign in and click the camera button at the bottom of the screen to upload a photo from your desktop.
