The OnePlus 7T is an interesting smartphone even till today despite the release of the new OnePlus 8 series with the “Pro” model costing really more. The company last week released the third OxygenOS Open Beta build which according to a user on Reddit signifies the update has added a new features with the 960Fps super slow-motion mode and Ultra 4K 30Fps video recording being one of the additions.
OnePlus 7TÂ was recently added to OxygenOS Open Beta channel. It has received three updates so far. The third one was rolled out last week but the changelog did not mention the major features which were included with the update so it was from a third-party source the news about the features came out.
And the super slow-motion video mode and Ultra-wide 4K 30Fps video recording makes some of the significant updates. These two additions were promised by the company long right after the launch of the OnePlus 7T itsef last year and it seems the company is keeping to its promise after all.
Maybe, because they need some more tweaks to function properly. Also, according to XDA, the 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor on the OnePlus 7T does not support 960fps. Hence, the feature on the phone could be using the interpolation method to double the number of frames. That means the ultra slow-motion video shot on this handset will not be smooth as those found on devices whose cameras supports it…if that makes any sense.

These features will be soon making their way to the OnePlus 7T units running stable OxygenOS build if the feedback from the beta users is positive.
