One thing for sure is that most computer’s built-in webcam suck and that is why you either need to take the purchasing a better webcam route or just use your smartphone if you’re not willing to spend another extra money on a hardware.

How to turn your smartphone to your PC webcam
The best approach into marrying these two completely different systems together effectively is by using an application which basically gets the magic done with ease. What you have to do is to have the application installed on both your smartphone and computer and then connect them wirelessly; here is how to do that.
1. First, head over to Dev47Apps to download the software called DroidCam for your Windows or Linux machine (non available for MacOS for now)
2. Then also head over to the Google Play store and then search for the DroidCam mobile application and download it and that is all.
3. Connect both your smartphone and PC to a wireless network. (Ensure they are both connected to the same wireless network)
4. The next thing you should do is launch both applications (on your PC and Smartphone) and then on the mobile application of the DroidCam, you’ll see some information which includes the wireless network’s IP Address which you’ll then enter into the provided box on the desktop and then click on the connect button.
When all that is done, the connection is made and you can see your smartphone becoming your PC webcam. You can also swap between the front or the back camera with the back always being the best cameras due to multiple setups.
So next time you want to use Zoom, this simple task is all it’ll take you in order to have a well polished video quality as your smartphone is your PC webcam. There are other methods which you can you but this is one of the simplest and fastest as it doesn’t require you paying for anything since the application is completely free of charge.
