What is fascinating about this entry-level smartphone is despite not really offering too many features, it’s powerful in some aspects.
The new Tecno POP 5 LTE is officially launched in south-east Asian countries such as Pakistan and the Philippines with a ₱4,599 ( Rs.15,000 in Pakistan) price tag.
The device sports 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and will be available in two color options such as Deep Sea Luster and Ice Blue.
As usual, its body is made out of plastic but the display is slightly bigger than the previous POP 4. On the Pop 5 LTE, you get a 6.5-inch HD+ panel with a teardrop notch and a moderate 60Hz refresh rate.

As for the camera, there isn’t anything spectacular here. The primary sensor is just 8MP while the secondary camera is a tiny 0.3MP depth sensor.
The device uses the UNISOC SC9863 chipset and has PowerVR G48322 GPU. There is support for an external SD Card which can reach about 128GB if you want.
In the power department, you get a big 5,000mAh Li-Po battery but just like the previous model, the device charges like a snail…really slow. But the battery lasts really long.
It also supports two sim cards and it’s fingerprint scanner is right at the back of the device even though there is support for the Android-based facial recognition technology for biometric security.
