One thing that majority of the wireless earphones out there have is their latency problem and this can be an issue that makes these devices less reliable in serious situations like music recording or live streaming or even playing games but the good news is that Qualcomm thinks it can resolve this problem or at least offer a much better solution to the issue.

The new Snapdragon Sound platform is how the chip maker aims at ending this problem. With Qualcomm known by many as the ultimate chip maker having released some of the world’s biggest chipsets out there like the current Snapdragon 888 series which also comes with support for FastConnect 6900, the headsets and earbuds have the QCC514x, QCC515x and QCC3056 series Bluetooth Audio SoCs.

Aside these, there is support for the aptX Adaptive that allows for the delivery of a high-fidelity audio quality of about 24-bit 96 KHz audio with really low latency.

With a low latency within the range of 89 ms which is about 45% lower than even the leading competitors according to Qualcomm and support for active noise cancellation (ANC) system available.

The technology is made to be resistant to interference from other wireless technologies like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals which will further provide a glitch-free audio even in environments with a lot of wireless interferences.

Qualcomm also designed things to make pairing easy after you take your new headset out of its box.

Xiaomi has reportedly jumped ship and move along with the Snapdragon Sound and also is Audio-Technica. Considering the reputation that Qualcomm has, it’s quite obvious that it’ll be easier for the company to convince different hardware makers come onboard.

There is even a partnership with Amazon ensures that there will be no shortage of high quality content to listen to with the “genre-spanning” Snapdragon Sound playlist on Amazon Music HD.

Such solution could be the future however we wouldn’t know whether this new technology will impact the price tag of future TWS headphones that come with the Snapdragon Sound considering the fact that the chipset have a lot to do with the quality of the device and usually it could be in premium earbuds even though we know that Xiaomi do not sell premium TWS earphones.
