Recent Amazon’s event is where the e-commerce giant unveiled a number of updates to it’s product lines as well as adding up newcomers which includes the Echo, Eero and Ring. With so many products and services unveiled yesterday, here is the everything you need to know about the massive unveilings.

In the update is the Amazon Echo which now sports a newer spherical shape with Zigbee support which is meant to enhance Dolby audio experience through “premium, adaptive sound” while also sporting supports for Amazon Sidewalk.

Another spectacular design changes made to the new line up includes the Amazon Echo Dot which has a somewhat futuristic look and feel. The Amazon Echo comes in two models with the first sporting an LED clock that will be useful when placed right next to your bedside while the pricing starts from US$60 while the non LED version starts a little US$10 lesser.

Amazon also added an Echo “Kids Edition” to the line which will come with a much different kid-ish design but it’ll go for US$60 while pre-order already begun, shipping is expected to start by November 5th.

the other great news about this device is the fact that Amazon is brining on Netflix shows to the Echo Show Displays which is a good thing. At least Amazon isn’t trying to force people to stick with its Amazon Prime Videos. So with the availability of Netflix on the service, the device will be a good companion in a smart home.

Ring’s Always Home Cam is a Drone For Your House

Other interesting product launched by Amazon is the Ring Always Home Cm which is a mini drone that navigates the home and it also costs US$250. Shipping is expected to take place next year for this one.

What Amazon is trying to achieve with this device is basically to have a more mobile camera that moves around around the house where it’s much needed rather than a static smart home camera that sits in a place.

This device uses sensors to detect things such as door opening and then it goes by to investigate who it is which sound s like some Sci-Fi ideology except this is a reality and you can have one in your home by next year if you pre-order. Maybe a great partner or an intruder, the end will tell.

Amazon and Ring for cars

There is also the Amazon/Ring which is meant to bring cameras to cars which combined makes for a great security camera device. This will be done through a combination between Ring Car Cam and Dash cam. The take here is that you’ll be able to check in on your cart anytime you want in as much as there is Wi-Fi network.

The service is also open to car makers through an API whereby Ring Car Connect can use Ring’s alert to give access to any camera which might be on-board.

Tesla is said to be one of the early adopter of this service with an aftermarket installation expected to be in the range of US$200 by the year 2021.

Eero 6 Mesh Wi-Fi 6 Routers

There is also the Eero line which consists of Eero 6, Eero 6 Pro and Eero 6 Extender routers and extenders all which are Wi-Fi 6 supported giving you different house coverage depending on the size of the areas needed to be covered.

Both the Eero 6 and 6 Pro sports Ethernet ports as well as USB Type-C ports and are available for pre-order with the base model starting at about US$199 while shipping is expected to start by November 2nd.

Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite

Amazon isn’t done with the Fire line-up just yet as the company releases updates to the Fire TV lineup with the device sporting supports for Dolby Atmos audio experience while still being offered with a starting price tag of US$39.99.

And a for the Fire TV Stick Lite version, it comes at a US$10 lower price tag (US$29.99) which makes it reasonably cheaper and can be pre-ordered as well right now on the platform following the link below.

Amazon Luna Game Streaming

Amazon furthered on with the release of a game streaming service which allows for 4K streaming experience and monthly subscription starts at US$5.99/month. The games can be accessed through channels with one already being announced.

But there is no clear explanation just yet as to whether every game on the Luna will cost US$5.99/month and the service will also be available on any device be it mobile or desktop or smart TVs which makes your iPhone, Android phone useful.

There have been services like this such as the Google Stadia and Microsoft’s xCloud which seems to be a much better alternative to actually buying game consoles although consoles don’t seems to be going away just soon.

The service will launch as an early access service but nothing much is known about the service while there is a game controller which can be purchased for about US$49.99 though not available for pre-order meanwhile, there is chance to enroll for the beta program and check it out assuming you’re selected to participate.
