This October a boatload of smart consumer devices is being released right and left. The latest joiner in the league is the all-new iQOO Z5x which is being released on a low-key over in China.
The new device just like other iQOO smartphones is a mid-range device with some pretty decent specifications such as a high refresh rate and a powerful battery.
The device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset and sports a 50MP primary sensor to make up for the device’s dual setup. Below, we have a number of important things about the new device such as its specs, features, and pricing.
iQOO Z5x specifications and features
Right off the bat, you get a nice 6.58-inch display LCD display with a high 120Hz refresh rate with a 1080P resolution. It also has a 240Hz touch sampling rate so this is basically a nice smartphone for mid-range gaming but it even gets interesting.
The iQOO Z5x comes with a dual rear camera setup with the primary sensor being a 50MP lens with a secondary 2MP sensor and an LED flash.
At the front, you get a small 8MP selfie camera tucked right in a dewdrop notch at the top-center of the device’s display.
Powering up the iQOO Z5x is the Dimensity 900 SoC with 8GB of RAM as well as a bigger 256GB of internal storage.
It comes with Android 11 out of the box but it’s possible that there will be an upgrade to the current Android 12 OS in the near future.
And as for the device’s power, it sports a big 5,000mAh battery that can be charged with the device’s 44W ultra-fast charger.
Other important features you get include dual sim support, 5G network support, Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5, GPS, and of course a 3.5mm headphone jack.
iQOO Z5x pricing and availability
Here is the pricing of the different variants of the iQOO Z5x:
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – US$250 (~CN¥1,599)
- 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage – US$266 (~CN¥1,699)
- 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage – US$297 (~CN¥1,899)
In terms of the device’s color options, it comes in Lens Black, Fog Sea White, and Sandstone Orange colors.
As for its availability, the presale will reportedly start as soon as 8 PM local China time on Wednesday, Oct. 20 but the device’s availability in other markets outside of China is still speculation.
