We have news that Honor is planning on launching another smartphone with the number YAL-AL50/YAL-TL50 which is expected to be first released in China. This device is most likely going to be assembled alongside the rest of the Honor 20 series considering the fact that it has a resembling model number and specifications hence the YAL-AL10 (Honor 20) but don’t assume this to be another flagship as it could just be another lite variant of the flagship Honor 20.
The device is said to measure 154.25 X 73.97 x 7.87mm in dimensions and it could weigh about 172 grams with a screen of about 6.26-inch that would offer 1080 x 2340 pixels full HD+ resolution. Other specifications of the new Honor smartphone includes a typical 2.6GHz octa-core processor and a ram that varies in three modles such as 6GB, 8GB and 12GB RAM. The smartphone would also have about 128GB and 256 GB Storage capacity which would give it alot of boost ahead of other mini Honor smartphones such as the Honor 8C (Picture above) and so forth.
Talking about the capacity of the device, it’s expected to feature a battery of about 3750mAh the same found on the Honor 8X smartphone with the inclusion of a 20W fast charging while it runs the Android 9 Pie out of the box.
The Honor YAL-AL50/TL50 is said to have a triple camera setup on it’s back which includes the usual 48MP primary lens as well as an 8MP secondary lens and then a 2MP lens for depth sensing. The front facing camera would be a 32MP with no in-display or on-screen fingerprint sensor/scanner. The fingerprint sensor will be mounted on the back of the device.
The specifications and dimensions of the Honor YAL-AL50 / TL50 are almost identical different from the Honor 20. The only major difference is that instead of the quad camera setup found on the Honor 20, the newly spotted device has a triple camera system. Also, the Honor 20 supports up to 22.5W fast charging whereas the YAL-AL50 / TL50 could be coming with 20W rapid charging support. The 2.6GHz processor powering the YAL-AL50 / TL50 phone could be the Kirin 980 chipset which also powers the Honor 20 phone.
So one could simply call this a slightly trimmed down version of the Honor 20 considering the fact that’s what Honor/Huawei and general smartphone makers does by offering their devices in different versions such as the Lite, Normal and Pro versions.
Last week, a leaked snapshot of an announced Honor 20 SE phone’s poster was spotted outside the offline store of Suning Tesco in China. It did not reveal any information on the specs of the phone. However, it did suggest that Honor is gearing up to add a new phone to the Honor 20 series. Hopefully, the company may make it official in the coming months and have it available globally. But whatever the case might be, we’ll always keep you posted on the updates and progress as things advances.
