Since OPPO and OnePlus have merged, there have been some interchangeable components and software between both brands, and one of the recent is the inclusion of the Hasselblad’s badge on a potential OPPO Find X5 Pro.
That is to say, OnePlus isn’t an exclusive user of this badge on its camera technology but that’s not a big deal anyway.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro is expected to come with some powerful features and high-end specifications while wearing another badge apart from Hasselblad, “MariSilicon” both of which will be on the redesigned camera bump of the device.
According to a report, this is OPPO’s in-house brand for image processing chips and it’s expected to offer a major improvement to the device’s camera output even though the camera hardware will be very similar to that of the previous OPPO X3 Pro.

The camera hardware will include two Sony IMX766 sensors (50MP, 1/1.56″. 1.0 µm). The camera will be divided into primary with an f/1.7 aperture and then an ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
The MariSilicon chip will then be responsible for image processing in 10-bit color space while also driving the omni-directional autofocus system of the device ad fast as it possibly can.

There will still be a telephoto camera which is expected to be different. According to a report, the OPPO Find X5 Pro will have a 13MP camera that is capable of 5x hybrid zoom.
For the sake of comparison, the 13MP telephoto camera on the previous OPPO Find X3 Pro offers 2x optical zoom while an earlier leak showed only a 2x optical zoom for the next-gen Find X5 Pro which made us conclude that both devices might just be equipped with the same hardware just with different processors.
As for the front-facing sensor, it will be quite different according to the report and it’s expected to be the new Sony IMX709 sensor that is used in the OPPO Reno 7 series. However, it will have the same 32MP resolution and an f/2.2 aperture with 90-degree FoV.
Powering the next-gen OPPO Find X5 Pro will be a better 5,000mAh Li-Po battery with its charging capacity expected to reach 80W. There should also be support for wireless charging at a high-speed as well.

Away from the camera and onto the display, the device is expected to sport a big 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with 1440P+ resolution and about a 120Hz refresh rate.
The display will also be protected by the high-quality Gorilla Glass Victus while the device’s body will be made of aluminum and glass with an IP68 rating for both dust and water resistance.
One thing you shouldn’t get deceived by is the naming. According to GSMArena, the device will come in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White colors but both devices are made of glass and not “Ceramics” unless OPPO is making a special model.
The phone will be thicker and heavier than its predecessor at 8.5 mm and 218g (up from 8.3 mm and 193g), in part due to the battery.
Elsewhere, the OPPO Find X5 Pro is expected to be powered by the current high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (UFS 3.1) but there won’t be support for an external microSD slot…sorry!
As for the price tag, the high-end OPPO Find X5 Pro is expected to be in the €1,200 price range and will come in three models. The Lite will be a rebadged Reno7, so that leaves the base Oppo Find X5, which is expected to be powered by a Dimensity 9000 chipset.
