For those who are using the current Galaxy Tab S6 and looking forward to an upgrade, the next model, the Galaxy Tab S7 is nearing it’s release as Samsung is reported to have secured the product’s first certification for the line’s top model which is the Tab S7+ 5G. The device will be the SM-T976B which is expected to become the company;s first globally available 5G tablet and second such device from the company overall after it’s 2019 predecessor from the Galaxy Tab S6 range.
Standards association Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA) today published wireless certification for what’s bound to be the most expensive member of the new Android slate family which may also end up launching as the Galaxy Tab S20.
Samsung to release Galaxy Tab S7/S20 this summer
Based on the WFA certificate’s appearance, this adds further credence as to earlier rumors about the launching date of the Galaxy Tab S7 which is thought to be this summer. Samsung is also said to be splitting it’s flagship tablet into two different sizes possibly taking the iPad approach.
More specifically, the series will offer 11-inch and 12.4-inch models, both of which will be offered in 4G LTE and Wi-Fi-only variants. As for 5G capabilities, those appear to be exclusive to the larger form factor.

Also, the ceritification suggest that the Galaxy Tab S7 series will be the first tablet lineup to offer both 5G and Wi-Fi 6 support and we all know Samsung likes to be the first in doing somethings sometimes right. The company had been contributing to both standard and so it’s not unexpected to see it reaching the milestone ahead of its rivals even though not too many of them are in the tablet market really well compared to the earbuds market which is now as fierce as ever under few years.
