Rumor has it that Apple will release a new set of MacBook Pro during its annual WWDC 2021 event. The first will be a 14-Inch MacBook Pro and then a bigger 16-inch variant. The keynote will be held on Monday June 7th at its HQ.
With the event set to take place, many speculations about the kinds of devices the company will unveil are still swirling around across the web but one thing for sure is that we might be getting a glimpse of the next-generation iOS 15.
According to analyst Daniel Ives from Wedbush, the company may also announce the new MacBook sizes. The news about Apple resizing its MacBook Pro has been around the internet for quite a while so it won’t be surprising if this can be true during the keynote.
According to Ives, Apple is said to be ready to surprise its customers. The report which was published on MacRumors gave a hint about what might be in store on Monday June 7th.

Aside the size modifications, other things we might get on the MacBook Pros includes the removal of the TouchBar which had been criticized majorly by PC users as Windows OS supports touchscreen. But we’re not here to compare the two popular computer operating systems.
Still on what to expect from the MacBook Pros, there is said to be a return of the HDMI port and the inclusion of an SD card slot as well as the MagSafe charging technology on the device.
Powering up the device will also be the Apple M1 or even the M2 chipset which will offer great speed and capability for the computer when it finally get announced.
The Apple-made M1 chip which was announced back in 2020 is already in use in newer devices from the company including the newly released iMac 24 as well as its mid-tier MacBook Air, the iPad Pro and the Mac mini.
Aside the design and features of the MacBook Pro, Apple may also give us a glimpse of its new operating systems such as the iOS 15 and MacOS 12 and other important updates and services to go along with these.
It isn’t unheard of for Apple to announce hardware during what is ostensibly a developer and software event, so Ives could be right here.
Ives’ research note also backs up previous reports that the iPhone 13 lineup will offer a 1TB storage option for the first time, too and that will be a good option considering the fact that modern smartphones are becoming much more capable and they require lot of space for data processing and storage.
