Samsung announced a new smartphone in India yesterday called the Galaxy F22 which is basically the fourth in the F-series devices from the Korean smartphone maker targeted at the Indian market. Before the aforementioned device, Samsung had released the likes of Galaxy F02s, Galaxy F12 and Galaxy F62 both of which debuted earlier this year.
The new Galaxy F22 is targeted at the emerging Indian market which makes the smartphone a affordable smartphone for consumers. It comes with some pretty cool specifications and features that makes it interesting such as a big 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with HD+ resolution at 720 x 1600 pixels. The screen has a tall 20:9 aspect ratio and a fast 90Hz refresh rate all of which makes the device interesting.
The powering up the Samsung Galaxy F22 is the Helio G80 chipset with two storage variant – the first being 4GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage while the second is a larger 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage despite an additional microSD card support for both variants.
As for the camera, you’ll be getting a 13MP front-facing camera up front tucked away within the U-shaped notch right at the center-top of the device’s large display while the back camera system is made up of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP for depth and macro shots.

In comparison, there seems to be no difference between the Galaxy F22 and the Galaxy A22 except for their names and the fact that the latter comes with OIS technology. The Galaxy F22 despite its cool features will be going on sale in India for about IN₹12,499 (US$168) for the base model which sports 4GB or RAM and 64GB of storage while the higher variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs about IN₹14,499 (US$195) and the devices comes in just two different color options such as Denim Blue and Denim Black.
