Remember when we last spoke about the new Redmi K30, the launch date has been confirmed to be December 10. With the K20 series emerging successful in the smartphone market, there is obviously a need for an upgrade while people are giving the device all the attentions it craved.
Aside the confirmed launching, Redmi tipped us more details about the K30 smartphone when it’s announced. The Founder/CEO of Redmi made this confirmation recently that the debut will take place later on this year which is now confirmed by the General Manager of the company, Lu Weibing.
The Redmi K30 smartphone is now confirmed to go official in the company’s home market China on 10th December. However, it is believed that the company will only launched the Redmi K30 smartphone while the K30 Pro will go official next year.

The Redmi K30 will be the first from the company to feature dual mode 5G which includes SA and NSA. Another thing that we know so far is the fact that the device will have a hole-punch rather than a motorized pop-up camera like the K20.

The hole-punch cut out will be in a pill shape to house a dual front facing selfie camera. Another awesome thing is the support for 30W charging technology which will also be coming with the device.
Even though nothing more had been officially confirmed just yet in terms of specifications of the Redmi K30 but we do know that it will likely have a 6.66-Inches display according to leaks with the resolution of the display being 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ Screen. It is also expected to come with side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Another speculation includes the chipset which is expected to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon in the 7xx-series and would support dual-mode 5G. The GPU is expected to be an Andreno 618 which is the same GPU Redmi had used in it’s Snapdragon 730 and 730G.
An image of the smartphone that recently got leaked reveals that the phone will have support for 120Hz refresh rate, which is totally unexpected as the company seems to be going a step ahead by adopting 120Hz instead of 90Hz but it could be for the Pro model.
It’ll surely run on the Android 9.0 Pie with the MIUI 11 skin on top of it. Meanwhile we still hope to see more of the Redmi K30 and keep you posted.
