Despite the release of the new Galaxy Buds Pro earlier this year, South Korean tech titan Samsung has released an important update for its previous bean-shaped TWS earbuds the Galaxy Buds Live.

The new feature is meant to enhance the audio quality of the device as well as allow users to adjust the L/R sound balance for the earbuds which makes it useful for those with imbalanced hearing in one of their ears.

According to a recent post by Reddit user u/apopheniac01, Samsung has started rolling out a new software update (version: R180XXU0AUB5/R180XXU0AUB5) to the Galaxy Buds Live.

The size of the update is about 2.2MB in size and sport a number of features as well as stable releases. Going through the changelog, some of the features on the new update includes Auto Switching support, Hearing aid feature and Buds control menu via the Bluetooth settings page.

The Hearing aid and the Hearing enhancement feature are both the same and its able to let users adjust the L/R sound balance on either of the Galaxy Buds Live.

There is also the Hearing Aid feature which brings support for Auto Switching allowing users to seamlessly switch between Galaxy smartphones or tablets that runs the latest One UI 3.1 and above.

There is also the new Buds control menu in Bluetooth settings which allow users to easily access a number of Galaxy Buds Live settings right in the Bluetooth menu.

The roll-out has began and if you haven’t received yours now, chances are that you’ll receive the update at a later time. However, there are some features that are only limited to Galaxy smartphones running the One UI 3.1 and above which might not be available on devices running on older versions of the operating system.
