Honor, Huawei’s sub brand had announced another powerful smartphone, the Honor 20 Pro which is a massive upgrade and falls in the “Flagship Killer” spectrum. Despite the currently embargo and blacklisting placed on Huawei from using services from companies in the US such as Google and other large corporation, It’s as if Huawei doesn’t care about the government but about their customers.
With so much odds against Huawei, the company still managed to amass a global growth of 50% this month even with the likes of Samsung and Apple trying to take advantage of Huawei’s disaster.
Well, moving forward, the Honor 20 Pro and the normal standard Honor 20 will be launched in many countries all over the world aside those that rejects it’s products. What makes the Honor 20 Pro amazing is the fact that it shares some similarities with Huawei’s flagship, the P30 Pro which costs as high as $909.
The Honor 20 Pro has a really neat rear design which is quite interesting. There are triple cameras very visible in a mini camera bump on the top side of the device. The camera lenses includes the standard 48 MegaPixel lens, a 16 MegaPixel wide-angle lens and the last being an 8 MegaPixel telephoto lens that offers an amazing 3x lossless zoom.

The only thing missing on the Honor 20 Pro camera but present on the Huawei P30 Pro camera is the “almighty” Periscope Zoom which let the device achieve a decent 10x lossless zoom of any object . One could say the exclusion of such feature could be to keep the P30 Pro at the top of other Huawei smartphones.
In its place is what the company calls a macro lens, designed for getting up close on tiny details. It’s only 2 megapixels however and the results aren’t anything to write home about. And talking about the front facing camera of the device, there resides a 32 MegaPixel punch-hole camera which unlike the P30 Pro which utilizes a teardrop-shaped notch

As for the display of the device, it features a massive 6.2 inch display that has a 2480×1080 Pixel resolution which is also nearly – identical to the P30 PRO and they both run on the latest Huawei’s SoC, the Kirin 980 Processor with 8GB of RAM space.
Other physical difference includes the exclusion of curved screens and also no in-screen fingerprint scanner just as the P30 Pro. All of which means that the Hono 20 Pro will come with a more affordable price tag. While Honor hasn’t said exactly how much it’ll cost yet, the company confirmed it’ll be under 650 dollars, which is around £510. That puts it quite a way under the £900 asking price for the P30 Pro.

There is always room for improvement which is part of why we loved the Huawei devices. Their current political issues is said to affect their smartphone market and assuming Microsoft join as well, that could also doom their PC devices. But that’s not the case though. The Honor 20 Lite is a slightly less-expensive version of the Honor 20. It has only 4GB of RAM but still, we still think they’ll both be cheaper than the P30 Pro.
