The fresh off the boat smartphone from the giant search engine provider Google which were revealed to the world at a major launch event this week is an excellent feature-rich device with packs of functionalities which you might never notice….probably until you’re told.
Apart from it’s new look (Something Samsung trolled the company about) the addition of glass covering for wireless charging and notch all make the device to appear amazing.
Aside this, there is also the much talk-about Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor and improvements to the front and rear cameras of the device. Even though there is only one camera compared to others with dual or even quad camera lenses behind their devices, the new Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL takes amazing pictures in one single click.
Also included is a feature Google calls Top Shot which utilizes some very clever AI system to help capture better pictures every time. Along with the rear camera which had gotten very upgraded is the front-facing camera which even shoots a selfie immediately you smile. Isn’t that really nice.

The Pixel 3 XL has a nearly edge to edge display like the Samsung Galaxy S9 where the screen spreads right across the device in a very cool manner. And the ability for the device to use an eSIM is an amazing thing. Even though Apple added the dual SIM functionality to their devices, Google sort of won’t deviate from it’s own innovation at least, not yet.
Since the use of Dual SIM had become a modern day trend whereby people can have a line for their private life and the other for their work or business right within the same device. That’s amazing but well, that seems not to be very cool about the Google Pixel devices even though it seems people don’t really care much.
But talking of the eSIM, this allows the device owner to connect to local networks in various countries across the entire globe which is a great benefit for network roaming by cutting unnecessary costs. Although Google didn’t say when the eSIM support will be switched on or if they will eventually allow two numbers to be used on their device.
Express.co.uk has also contacted EE who currently supports eSIM on the iPhone with a spokesperson saying: “We can confirm that EE will support the e-SIM functionality on the Pixel 3 range, further details will be announced in the near future.”
The Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL will start selling in stores around the globe starting Nov. 1 although some companies have already gotten a copy for their product reviews.
