Google had confirmed that it’s aware of the fact that it’s new Pixel 3 and 3 XL devices are having some memory issues which causes applications to crash unexpectedly and so there is a plan to get this fixed according to 9to5Google.

Although the fix will be not be included in the company’s November update which was released yesterday the 5th, the plans to actually get the Pixel 3 and 3 XL devices fixed will come later on this year around December. Google told 9to5Google that the fix should arrive “in the coming weeks” and will be designed to “keep background apps from being prematurely closed.”

(The November update does, however, fix a wireless charging issue where the Pixel 3 would say it was charging at full speed when using a non-Google charger, which was not in fact the case. Android Police says third-party chargers should now display the words “charging slowly” to indicate the halved wattage rate, from 10W to 5W.)

Majority of the time, the Google Pixel 3 devices usually have this memory issue whenever they’re trying to use multiple applications at the same time and the fact that some applications requires more memory allocations than the other usually cause the device to lag or eventually close the applications while in operation.

An example of such scenario being the combination of applications such as the camera and Spotify application at the same time. Usually, third-party applications might be killed by Android because of inadequate memory. Even though the premium device comes with a nice 4GB of RAM space which is very standard in every sense despite the fact that Android as an operating system consumes a big chunk of memory spaces while being used  for serious multitasks. The fact that Google is making plans to fix this issues in next update (not relating to Google’s normal update) means there is a solution to the problem sooner.
