In 2021, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is among the top 3 best camera smartphones anyone can purchase.
One of the reasons for that is the high-quality camera and even the post-production due to the camera software being able to help chunk out a better image.
One of the good features of the device’s camera is its support for Pro Mode but it’s limited to just the primary and ultrawide sensors.
Samsung has now taken a different stance by offering a new application called the Expert Raw app.

This is an official application developed by Samsung itself and will only be available on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Not sure if there will be support for older models like the Galaxy Note 10+.
Also, the application is still currently in its South Korean Galaxy Store. It basically allows you to make use of the entire rea cameras on the Galaxy S21 Ultra to take Pro Mode photos.
There are about four cameras at the back of the device which includes the main 108MP, then an ultrawide-angle sensor, a 3X telephoto lens, and a 10x telephoto sensor.
With the new application, you’re able to control the entire camera hardware and do many manual things such as exposure value, focus, ISO, shutter speed, and white balance.

For professionals, pictures can be saved in their lossless JPEG versions or in 16-bit linear DND RAW format.
Apart from that, there is also support for editing DND RAW files using Adobe Lightroom via a dedicated button on the image viewer screen.
The application is currently in its beta form while a stable version is expected to debut soonest. Also, the app will reportedly be released for both Galaxy S2+ and even the Galaxy Tab S5e even though the Expert Raw is supposed to be a Galaxy S21 Ultra-specific feature.
Who knows, the feature may find its way down to older Samsung devices with good camera hardware such as the previous Galaxy S20 Ultra or the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
