Samsung has recently released the August security patch for its Galaxy Note 9 , Galaxy S9 and S9+, and Galaxy S20 FE line and that is great news especially for those that stuck with the aging Note 9 released as far back as 2018.
The update isn’t a major overhaul but comes with some minor bug fixes and tweaks to help make the device perform even better.
Verizon’s variant of the phone will be the first to receive these updates. Although that is nice, don’t expect anything drastic about the phone’s performance though. There won’t be any improvement on the camera or new camera features just the same old Note 9 you’re used to but with a better security patch that matches with modern time.
If you own the Galaxy Note 9, be on the lookout for build QP1A.190711.020.N960USQS9FUG2. As for the others, once updated, Galaxy S9 owners will have software version G960USQS9FUG2, S9+ owners will have G965USQS9FUG2, and the Galaxy S20 FE will see G781VSQU4DUG6. You can check for the update by heading into Settings>About phone>System updates>Check for updates.

The Galaxy Note 9 back in the day was released with Android 8.1 with the Samsung Experience UX skin but all that has changed since the introduction of the OneUI.
