Every year, Apple releases a new set of interesting products and even though the company had earlier on released an array of products from the first iPhone SE (2020) released earlier back in May to the new iOS 14, iPadOS 14, WatchOS 7, TvOS 14 and then we had the iPad Air and Watch Series 6 around September with a number of services to enhance the entire Apple’s ecosystem well, here are some other cool products released yesterday Oct. 13th.
Apple announced four new iPhone 12 variants on Tuesday which sports a light design tweak since the iPhone X back in 2017. I call it “Light” because its basically changing the casing’s side from curves to boxy-shape just like the older iPhone 4 or 5 or the iPad Pro if you’ve seen those before.
But one of the interesting thing about the device includes its support for 5G network infact, the mmWave 5G for that matter which is a pretty decent option to have on an expensive device but the iPhone 12 devices aren’t the only things revealed by Apple.
The company also announced the HomePod Mini smart speaker which might be well off in the Apple ecosystem but might not be very useful for those outside it especially if you’ve had some experience with the Alexa-powered Amazon Echo smart speakers which comes in various shapes and sizes some with displays in fact then there is the Beats Flex wireless headphones as well.

Maybe Magsafe isn’t an entirely new product on its own but it is now on the iPhone 12 whereby you can basically stick up your charger to the device without necessarily having to connect any cable through the charging port.
During the Tuesday’s presentation about how well off the iPhone 12 5G will be, Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg was on to talk about the Ultra Wideband network as well its expansion plans nationwide.
The iPhone 12 has a custom antenna design and, according to Apple, a boatload of testing. All models support mmWave 5G, at least in the US.

The king of the event was obviously the iPhone 12 series which now have a slimmer body frame and sport OLED Super Retina XDR display which has 460 PPI pixel density and Dolby Vision HDR support but no high refresh rate like those found on the likes of Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (120Hz refresh rate)
The device alo uses the new Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset which helps make the device much more efficient while handling tough network connectivity such as the 5G as an example.
Another thing is the camera improvement which includes the LiDar sensor on the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max while the device offer dual camera setup on the non-Pro iPhone 12 and 12 Mini.
It’s got a new camera, of course, a dual setup with an f2.4 ultrawide camera and f1.6 wide, Night Mode available on all cameras and night time lapse.

The high-end variants – iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display respectively with a triple rear camera setup and the LiDar sensor for depth mapping and low-light autofocusing.
It also has a new format, Apple ProRaw, which synthesizes computational photography and applies processing as parameters, so you can change adjustments like sharpness after the fact. For video, it can record 10-bit Dolby Vision HDR. The Pro starts at $999 (£999, AU$1,699), with the Pro Max at $1,099 (£1,099, AU$1,849).

This 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini has the same features as the iPhone 12 — just smaller, thinner and lighter. It starts at $699 in the US, £699 in the UK and AU$1,199 in Australia (the same as last year’s iPhone 11).
HomePod Mini

There isn’t much to say about the new Apple HomePod Mini but it further submerge you into the ecosystem even farther which isn’t a bad thing for real. There are some pretty cool features about the smart home speaker for example which includes thing like autopair with an iPhone when it comes into proximity and can have a deep integration with Siri while it comes with a asking price of US$99 (£99, AU$149). Available Nov. 15 for $99.
