More optimistic news about the COVID-19 are being released and this made Bill Gates who happens to be the co-founder of Microsoft as well as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to being optimistic about the vaccine development to combat the coronavirus even further stating they all should work perfectly by February, 2021.
It’s worth noting that there are two vaccine candidates already which are possibly going to get FDA authorization. The first being from Pfizer and the other from Moderna both showed to being 95% effective against the coronavirus even though more research needs to go in to ensure their safety on the long run.
Mr. Gates hoped that others that haven’t made big headlines yet will yield a positive outcome meanwhile AstraZeneca recently reported that its own vaccine developed in collaboration with the Oxford University has 90% success rate and plan to work on getting them authorized and then begin large-scale production. Others who haven’t made headlines includes Johnson & Johnson and Novavax.
“Almost all the vaccines will work and with very high efficacy levels,” Gates told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria in an interview on Sunday. “I’m optimistic that by February it’s very likely that they’ll all prove very efficacious and safe.”

“We should be very worried about the next six months,” Gates said, adding that he thinks the daily death rate from the virus will top 2,000 for much of the winter. He also discussed issues with testing and vaccine distribution, but thinks those challenges will be met.
“In a slightly imperfect way, I do think the logistics will get solved,” Gates said. “Over time, we will get to that 70 percent-plus level that we need in order to stop the spread of the disease.”
The tech genius stated that his Thanksgiving dinner will be small and he’ll use video communication with other family members who aren’t present while urging Americans to continue wearing their face masks as well as obey the social distancing policies while the wait for the vaccine continues.
“You know, try not to have your family be the last death in this pandemic because you’re willing to see it through until the spring, which is when the vaccine will really start to cut the numbers down,” he said.
