Xiaomi is reportedly going to unveil a new device which will feature some pretty decent design aesthetics such as a quad curved waterfall display but this will be concept device whose display will curve all around the front side of the panel.

Sounds weird? The company made the revelation via its official Twitter handle where it shared an image poster showcasing the concept smartphone whose four edges were curved out to an extreme 88 degrees.

The first “waterfall display” was seen in the Vivo Nex 3 back in 2019 until Huawei Mate 30 Pro normalize it but there have been curved screens in the past thanks to the older Galaxy S and Note series. he difference with this device is the fact that the screen curved all around the four edges which kind of looked weird or complicated but Xiaomi call

Through its official Twitter handle, the Chinese tech giant shared an image poster revealing this concept device. Looking at this device, it can be observed that all four edges of the device are curve around the side of the device at an angle of 88 degrees. While curved edges aren’t something new in the industry, having all four edges being curved has never been seen before. In other words, the company’s first Quad Curved Waterfall Display Concept Smartphone is truly a unique handset that also signifies its emphasis on ‘innovation’. From the front, the device would seem to be mostly covered by the display, except the corners.

While this might sound pretty interesting, the design will definitely be polarizing since its not everyone that wants a curved screen to that degree not to talk of the fact that the screen curves around the four edges of the device which seems overbearing.

It’s unclear whether the company will release this eventually as a consumer product or it will be shelved as another concept device but Xiaomi is known for always going the extra miles in doing things.
