Samsung is currently demanding it’s employees n work from home which is a way of hampering and flattening the Coronavirus spread curves. The company has strongly advised it’s employees and promote the idea of working from home as advised by health organizations to further enhance social distancing.
The Coronavirus causes a severe respiratory disease called COVID-19 which has spread throughout the world starting from China where the outbreak happened later on last year. This has led to many companies taking the measures of reducing the risk of exposures by shutting down operations and demanding employees work from home.
In fact, big companies such as Apple, Huawei, Xiaomi have all cancelled their physical product launching events for online-only launching until further notice. So many events such as football legaues, European club competitions and even tech events have all be put to hold as advised by the WHO until further notice when the spread can be controlled as well as when vaccines can be developed.
Many big names in almost all industry have tested positive to the virus with the news of Francisco Garcia dying of the disease yesterday at the age of 21 after having Lukemia as the underlying disease that probably compromised his immunity making his case more severe. As reported, he is likely the youngest victim of the pandemic so far and so governments have taken strict measures to ensure the curbing off of the spread.

With Europe now declared the new center of the pandemic, the South Korean tech giant is now advocating the home working policies “Where Possible”.
Based on reports gotten from sources, internal memos and documents circulating plans and details to curb the spread of the disease shows the “Work from home” policy.
As part of the policy, Samsung will now have a health screening right at the entrances of it’s facilities while international travels have been put to hold unless it is a “mission critical journey”.
Also, special tasks force has also been made to go around the globe in order to track and implement the latest expert advise during the serious pandemic. This includes sending special care packages to few that are working from home or are under self quarantine.
Samsung’s production lines, Gumi was closed down when the factory was confirmed to have recorded a case of the COVID-19 disease which is part of why the company is ensuring stricter measures to further encourage the remote working policy.
Currently, Samsung employs more than 300,000 people globally. Including, 52 sales offices, 15 regional offices and dozens of research and development centers.
The pandemic has a global impact on every industry not only Tech, Deliveroo was also reported to have included the “No Contact” delivery feature into it’s system whereby food orders can now be delivered by riders without having to make any physical contact with the consumer who made the order.
