When we first heard about the Royole Flexipai foldable smartphone, it was like a dream come true in the mobile world. Of course there have been news about the Samsung Galaxy J or F or whatever they want to call it, the latest joiner in the Foldable smartphone market is the LG. A patent filing had been made both with WIPO nd USPTO which was made public by the end of last year 2018.
The patent describes a fOldable smartphone which would be foldable outwardly. Okay let me make that a bit clear. The Samsung Galaxy Foldable smartphone folds inside making it to have 2 screen. The first on the back which turns the device to a normal size mobile phone when not opened then when you flip it open, from the inside is a foldable massive screen which turns out to a tablet.
But with patent details describes the device to be folded from the outside making to have just one co-joined folded screen so either it’s closed or opened, it would have a sort like two screen wrapped across the gadget.
The design of the device determines which part of the screen is used as app launcher especially when closed. The design also eliminates the need for such third screen because it’s opened outwardly.
An illustrative image below describes how the device flips to display the UI of the device. While the device is just a patent filling, PockeNow reports that there is the likelihood that the device may never see the light of the day but we doubt that concerning the fierce competitive approach taken by smartphone makers last year. This new concept could change the mobile industry forever and LG will want to be part of that.
