As a result of the trade war and series of controversies between the US and the Chinese government, Google had joined the US to ban Huawei from using it’s Android license which will affect Huawei’s access to Android, Playstore, YouTube and other Google service but will only be able to utilize the open source AOSP version of the operating system.

But this serious constraint won’t affect Huawei as it pledges to continue supports for it’s Android smartphones and Tablets by providing security updates and services.

Huawei will continue to provide security updates and after-sales services to all existing Huawei and Honor smartphone and tablet products, covering those that have been sold and that are still in stock globally — Huawei

Alongside Google, other companies like Intel Corp, Qualcomm Inc, Xilinx Inc and Broadcom Inc that all make Chipsets will also not be supplying critical software update and components to Huawei until further notice.

Another report we got still shows that Microsoft could do just the same with the Windows License on the Huawei’s computer product lines which would mean Huawei would really have to develop it’s own software pretty fast soon.
