While foldable smartphones are already in their second-generation, companies like Samsung, Huawei and Royole are all at the top of the new market however, Samsung seems to be the only at the top because Huawei which is expected to be the close rival had a serious problem with the US government which caused the company to be ousted from the North American market.
However, Huawei never stopped making new smartphones every year and the latest report is that the Chinese tech giant is working on another generation of its foldable smartphone which could be dubbed the Huawei Mate X2.
According to a new patent that was revealed, there are three components which gave a better insight into the device when it’ll finally be released. The components includes the first and second foldable entities as well as the mechanism that join them both together.
It is indicated that by optimizing the connection method for each component, the company can prevent the screen from being stretched or squeezed during the folding process. It adds that pressure can effectively reduce the crease problem.

Other reports has it that the smartphone has already passed the network certification process which means it could debut as soon as possible.
There have been different concepts of folding nd rollable smartphones lately. Last year, TCL released a rollable concept which looked similar to the new concept displayed by LG during the CES 2021.
While the Huawei Mate S and the older generation folds outwards much like the Royole FlexPai, the newness of this design make me wonder if the device will be secure especially the screen noting that they use plastic which scratches easily.
Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 which folds inwardly and so is much more secured. How the Huawei Mate X2 will be fold is yet unknown but let’s see what’s up as time gets by.
