Google is saying that you’ll be able to interact with it’s AI – Google Assistant without actually unlocking your phone. Meaning direct interaction straight from the device’s lockscreen. VentureBeat Made it known that Google will utlize it’s existing Voice Matching Technology which can surprisingly differentiate between a number of voices being spoke to it; being as high as 6 members of a household on Google Home which helps the AI know if it’s the actual device owner that is making the command or not without actually unlocking the device.
As a matter of fact, the device owner will then be able to do things like setting timers or reminders without using PIN or Fingerprint scanners (like you do usually). This translate to convenience making it easy to do things quicker while in a hurry and you’re trying to get to know virtual things like “Hey what’s the traffic like in Lawrence Ave, Chicago.”
That’s why the Google’s new Pixel Stand recently announced to being a more compelling device which is going to be a great sync with your Google Home and other Google based IoT systems. The Pixel Stand is already offering features such as using the device’s screen as a wake-up light just before your phone alarm goes off.
But while the feature is worth waiting for, there isn’t an assured date of the release although there is a vague statement that it might be rolled out in the coming weeks. While that might be coming on it’s way, with new device’s upgrades in the terms of designs and hardware features, an interaction with your device’s Lockscreen is going to be a great compliment and 2019 is going to be a serious mobile revolution and we can’t wait for that.
