Samsung has dominated the foldable smartphone market and that is the fact that thanks to the company’s release of the Galaxy Fold 2 which conquered the many flaws seen in the first Galaxy Fold.

The latest is that the South Korean tech giant is set to release the third-generation Galaxy Z Fold 3 as well as its compact foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Flip 3.

While there is nothing official about the release of these devices, what is certain is the fact that Samsung will want to continue its dominance in the market as its close rival Huawei is still battling it out due to bans leaving the almighty Huawei Mate X2 powerless before the aforementioned Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Speaking of reports and rumors, a number of promotion materials which were supposed to be confidential have reportedly slipped out and get circulated throughout the entire internet and in it are some crucial information about the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3.

One of the information garnered in the leak includes the fact that the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with the iconic S-Pen (stylus) while the camera arrangement of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be vertically arranged marking a slight shift in its design aesthetics.

The leak about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 sporting a stylus pen might be believable because of earlier rumors that Samsung might be getting rid of its Galaxy Note line for good considering the fact that its Galaxy S21 series now supports the S-Pen which is synonymous to the Galaxy Note and if the Z Fold 3 also have this capability, the relevance of the Galaxy Note line might be blurred up.

Another cool engineering breakthrough which we could see in the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 3 is that it might sport an under-display camera system which will be a big deal.

It appears that it will be on the side, because of how the phone is bent in 90 degrees, allowing users to take note with the S Pen.

As for the rear camera design, there seems to be three systems which are positioned vertically. The design of the camera system might be similar to the new S21 camera aesthetics or not.

And as for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, the device will sport the Gorilla Glass Victus from all of its sides with a bigger display which will make the device much modern especially the viewfinder on the outside part of the device will be larger according to the reports.

   
Since this foldable is always marketed as a fashion accessory, it will have at least four colors, but each device will have a dual-tone approach.

One of the biggest flaws in the previous Galaxy Z Fold 2 was the visibility of the crease at the middle of the device which can be obvious sometimes depending on the angle you’re viewing from.

Huawei managed to make this disappear almost by 70% to 80% on its Mate X2 and it will be a great thing if Samsung can achieve the same with the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Z Flip 3. But this is just a report/rumor and we’ll keep up with the report to see how true it becomes.
