Windows OS can be annoying and buggy sometimes no matter how expensive your computer is, those fancy hardware can only work as much as the software wants to.
Hopefully, Windows 11 will be a better version of the operating system but one of the common issues some people have with their Windows 10 computer is the fact that the Bluetooth icon often disappears from the notification tray at the taskbar.
Usually, if you’re trying to receive a file via Bluetooth on your Windows 10 computer, you’re going to need to click on the Bluetooth icon and then click on “Receive a file” but with the Bluetooth icon missing, receiving files via Bluetooth is often an impossible thing.
Anyway, I found a solution to this problem and I hope it helps solve your own problem as well.

The first thing you want to do is to check whether your Bluetooth is turned on or off and in order to do that, you need to do the following:
1. Check if you have Airplane mode turned on: In order to find out, click on the “Airplane” icon from the list of icon buttons or just click on the network icon from the taskbar area to see. If the Airplane mode is turned on, deactivate it, and hopefully, it works.

2. Specifically turn on Bluetooth from Settings: Head over to the settings page and then click on “Devices” from where you’ll locate the Bluetooth feature.
If your Bluetooth is toggled off, then toggle it back on and wait for a few seconds before checking the notification area again to check if the icon is back there.

3. Go to “More Bluetooth Options”: Here’s exactly where you’ll find out why the Bluetooth icon isn’t appearing in the notification taskbar. Just click on the “Show Bluetooth icon in the notification area” checkbox and then click on “Apply” before closing the modal.

Now, your Bluetooth icon should show up in the Notification tray at the taskbar.
