RealMe isn’t only making smartphones as the company diversifies more by making wearable devices which includes it’s RealMe Band that was released earlier March. Despite being just about a month since the release of the fitness hand band, the device will now be receiving its first-ever major firmware update. With the new release comes new features and interesting updates that makes the band more interesting.
The new update being rolled out is the version 6.0 of the firmware and to update the fitness tracker, you’ll need to first install the latest version of the RealMe Link app from the Google Play Store.
Interesting features added up to the upgrade includes the “Find Phone”, “Restart” and “Weather” functionalities. These three features are common on all wearables and should have been present on Realme Band since its launch. Better late than never, they are here now, however, it is a nightmare to use them
Upon the update to the new version 6.0 firmware, you’ll then be able to enable the weather functionality of the RealMe band device. You’ll be able to set up the app by tapping seven times on the tracker’s capacitive button to access current weather and tap two more times to see forecasts for the next two days.

Having to master how many times you’ll be needing to tap on the device’s button might not be the best user experience ever made compared to fitness trackers with touch display.
Okay as if that one isn’t enough, another thing is that the restart function of the RealMe band can only work when the device is being charged which is really not good from the look of other more advanced technology out there but anyway, the update also brings improvements in UI, heart rate monitoring, data synchronization, and message display time.
