The Honor 30 Lite or Youth is officially announced and the device sports 5G technology and will be available in China for about CNÂ¥ 1,700 which is about US$240 for the base model. The device which had been in the news for sometimes now is one of the much anticipated Honor mid-anger after the realease of th Honor 30 series.
The new Honor 30 Lite sports 5G network support as well as MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset with four Cortex-A76 and four A55 cores all which clocked 2GHz while the GPU is Mali-G57 MC4 with 7nm.
The base model come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage while the high-end model is 8GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage and runs on Android 10 out of the box with the Magic UI 3.1 built on top of the AOSP software which is powered by Huawei Mobile Service in place of the Google Mobile Service (because Honor is a subsidiary to Huawei).

Do not be disappointed about the screen as it sports a 6.5-inch LCD with 1080p resolution. Although it’s an LCD panel, it’s Full HD+ so it display really well. The refresh rate is 90Hz with 180Hz touch sampling rate for smooth animation and instantaneous reactions.

Coming to the camera aspect of the device, it sports a 16MP front facing selfie sensor with a teardrop notch at the center top of the display which can also be used a the face unlock for the device. The rea camera setup consist of a 48MP primary sensor which is a large sensor measuring 1/2 while the aperture is f/1.8. The camera is also accompanied by another 8MP uultrawide sensor with 2MP depth sensor while the main camera can record up to 4K resolution with EIS and support for Super Night Mode.

Aside the camera other interesting things the Honor 30 Lite sports includes is a 4,000mAh battery which charges at 22.5w through USB-C port that gives the device about 53% charge in just 30 minutes. There is also 3.5mm headphone jack on board as well as wireless connection through Wi-Fi 5 (AC) and two SIM slots.
Huawei continues to push it’s NM memory cad which isn’t popular just yet as well as there is no dedicated slot for it as it takes the place of a SIM cad to get this extension so if you want large space, then you’d rather opt for the 128GB storage model.

You can make a reservation on vmall for the phone, sales start on July 8 (next Wednesday). The base 6/64 GB model is CN¥ 1,700, you can double the storage for CN¥ 200 more or go for the top 8/128 GB version for CN¥ 2,200 total.
