Gaming laptops aren’t the end. Now smartphone makers are even reaching the limits and beyond. Remember the gold ol’ Honor Play? Well another powerful gaming smartphone we’re seeing in 2019 is from ASUS, a Taiwanese company.
The new ASUS ROG Phone 2 will be announced in the Indian market. The device was originally released earlier on July in the international market. But who wouldn’t want to launch their devices in India.
So if you’re a Brumposter and you’re from India, then be rest assured that you’ll be getting your own country-based variant come 23rd of September just in few days to come. And you will be able to purchase the device from Flipkart, the popular e-market.

The device has a massive 6.59-inch Super AMOLEDdisplay with a 120Hz refresh rate. Another feature includes 10-bit HDR and protecting the large screen is of course the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and it has a 1ms response time, a 49ms touch latency and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz…so this is an insanely fast device.

The ASUS ROG Phone broke the record of being the first smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC and it has a large 12GB RAM and 512GB storage space….this device is a big deal.
The ASUS ROG Phone 2 isn’t just some enormous for-game only smartphone. It can be a normal smartphone as well considering it’s dual rear camera setup featuring a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor as well as a 13MP Super wide-angle lens. The front facing camera is a 24MP camera lens that can be used to take ultra clear selfies as well as video calls and whatever you’d want to use it for.
For a gaming smartphone, it has a powerful liquid cooling system which ASUS calls GameCool II as well as 3D Vapor Chamber.
As for the power of this device, the ASUS ROG Phone 2 is powered by a massive 6000mAh battery that supports a blazing fast charging of about 30W. It also has a USB-PD and Quick Charge 4+.
The Tencent Elite version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at about $509 while the Classic Version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage costs $872.
The phone also comes in Extreme Edition which is priced at about $1163 and will be available in the fourth quarter of the year. The last is e-Sports Armor Edition that carries a price tag of $1890. But sincerely the device considering the endless list of specifications makes it really interesting and expensive. But for the price point of $500 USD, then ou have a really valuable smartphone that offers you everything packed up in one.
