Skin is a very important pearl to us human. Skins are like the body of cars that hides the excessive engines and scary spare-parts from the naked eyes. The skin covers over muscles, bones and internal organs giving protections against all sorts of things like ultraviolet Radiation and other malignant infections. The skin is also an element of total beauty that makes us look exactly beautiful and become who we really are. Although the skin is this powerful, there are still some rare situations that affects our skims making them look ugly as a result of inflammations, sores, moles and so on. There are enemies that evades our skins making them look this ugly because they do not love our beauty. Well in case you might ask, they are those useless parasites that dirt’s harbour. There are lots and lots of skin conditions that are tough and tougher depending on how serious we handle its occurrences. But mind you, that’s why there are skills to destroy these powerful microorganisms.
Some skin problems are caused by diseases or irritations that affects the skin only. There are examples like Ringworm, Diaper rash, Warts, Acne and much more. Other skin problems are signs of diseases which affects the entire body which would include Rashes from Measles or Sores, Dry patches of Pellagra (Also Malnutrition). There are also certain sores or akin conditions which light be signs of tougher enemies like Tuberculosis, Syphilis and leprosy. All these ugly things needs to be contained with powerful management of drugs and other remedies in order to curtail them.
But as a matter of fact, i’ll be writing this article just to shed more light on general ways of treating general skin infections at home using some remedies that works.
There are usually rules to taking care of the skin and thus destroying the unwanted invaders of our body.
General Rules for taking care of skin problems
To take care of any skin infection, there are usually some normal rules that applies to all. These rules are:
Rule #1.
If the affected area is hot and painful, treating it with hot compresses will help. This means placing a hot or moist cloth on the area will be a way to ease the pain.
How to apply
If there are some serious forms of infections on the skin such as:
1.) Inflammations
2.) Pains
3.) Swelling
4.) Pus
5.) Feels hot
Doing the following will help
1.) Keep the affected part still and elevated above the rest of the body part.
2.) Apply hot and moist cloth upon the infected area.
3.) If there is a higher degree of temperature or fever or the infection becomes severe, Antibiotics such as Penicillin or a Sulfonamide will help.
Note:
In case there us a swollen lymph nodes, a dark line above the infected area or there is a bad smell from the infection, or the treatment makes things worse, then seeking a medical attention immediately will help.
Rule #2.
If there is itching, oozing, stings in the area, treating with cold compresses will help alot. This way, placing a cold cloth upon the infected area will help ease any discomfort.
How to apply
In case there are formations of blisters or a crust, oozes, itches, stings or burns, you can help ease pains by doing these:
1.) Apply cloths soaked in cool water with white vinegar (at least 2 tablespoon of vinegar in 1 quart of pure or boiled water)
2.) When the affected are feels better or the ooze goes away, light spreading on a mixture of talc and water (1 part of talc to 1 part of water) will help.
3.) When healing starts taking place and the new skin starts getting thicker then you can rub little vegetable lard or body oil to soften it.
Rule #3
If the skin area s affected are on parts of the body like the face, hands, legs etc, which are prone to sunlight, protecting against the UV ray will absolutely be of great help.
How to Apply
To ease this off, you need to always protect the affected part by covering it with a long cloth or wearing hat if it’s the face. Wearing socks or trousers will help for legs but in general, staying off the sunlight is the major way to ease these off.
Rule #4.
If the affected skin parts are usually covered by clothing such as back, chest etc, exposing to direct sunlight for like 20 minutes in about 2 to 3 times a day will usually be of help too.
How to Apply
You can have the person open up such area and then lie gently exposing such part to the sunlight. Moments while the sun starts getting extremely hot or causing discomfort, patient can usually stop the therapy and continue when calm.
General instructions for using hot compresses
#1. Boil water and allow it to cool until you can just dip your hand into it.
#2. Fold a very clean cloth so that it is slightly larger than the area you want to treat. The next is to get the cloth soaked and then squeeze out the excess water.
#3. Place the cloth over the affected area on the skin
#4. Cover the cloth with a sheet of quite thin plastic or cellophane.
#5. Wrap it up with a towel so that the heat can be concentrated upon the affected skin.
#6. Then keep the affected part raised quiet above the body.
#7. When the cloths starts to cool, then reapply back into the hot water and restart the process again till you feel it’s okay.
