Elon Musk had always dreamed about taking human to the space most importantly, the red planet…Mars. One way to get there is via the SpaceX’s Starship Hopper, a spaceship which would be used to shuttle earthlings to colonize Mars eventually. A test launch was scheduled yesterday, Monday 26th of August which was eventually aborted because the Starhopper didn’t have legs.

After about 2 hours of waiting, the rocket prototype’s second test was aborted just at the very last moments which was few minutes after 6 P.M, Texas time. The “Starhopper” is a single-engine version of the SpaceX Starship, the next-generation spacecraft Musk plans to use to send people around the moon and to Mars in the next decade. 

There had been delays over the second test since earlier August and then it was pushed back by Two hours on Monday just eventually get cancelled yet again. Elon Musk when asked about this didn’t give any response concerning the delay.

Following the aborted test flight, SpaceX said on its livestream, “Standing down for today. Earliest next attempt is tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 27.” which is 2 P.M PT today which we hope to see Starship Hopper really lifting right off the grounds.

Before the Monday test even begun, residents near the company’s Boca Chica, Texas, facility were informed about a potential malfunction which could unleash pressure waves that is so strong it could break windows in those areas leading to the advise for evacuation just so as to not risk issues with accident and flying glass.

“I guess we will be outside watching the hop,” one local tweeted. The test version of the SpaceX StarShip, The StarHopper is a like a little “Water Tower” as noted by Elon Musk himself which had performed a brief hover at a height of about 20 meters or 66 feet last Month, July. Musk has said this will be the final test flight for this particular prototype, and that it will be converted into a test stand for Starship’s Raptor engines.

With this last test of Starhopper in the books, Musk has said his next move will be to hold a presentation to update the world on the design of Starship and any changes to his plans for the biggest SpaceX rocket yet. Musk has said the final Starship will have a total of six or seven engines and be paired with a new SpaceX Super Heavy rocket, creating a launch system to rival the Saturn V rocket that carried NASA astronauts to the moon.

Parts of Elon Musk’s dreams is to use the heavy rocket which was earlier known as the Big Falcon Rocket (BFR) to help setup shops on Mars and even send artists on a trip around the moon to transporting people around the earth through the earth orbit. We just hope the new test becomes successful as the success of projects like this would see a new dawn in the inter-planetary travel for humans.
