Xiaomi first spoke about the potential release of the MiUI 12 back in April during the height of the coronavirus pandemic and the company has since been able to make a number of releases to devices that supports them but now, the version 12.5 is being confirmed by the Chinese tech giant.
The release of Xiaomi’s new generation MiUI skin is usually updated months after their releases and this versions usually have the x.5.
According to the post where Xiaomi made the confirmation about the release, the company stated that it will be suspending weekly MiUI beta builds starting from Dec. 14th as it aims to focus more on the release of the MiUI 12.5 which mean that the new version could debut on the next-gen Mi 11 series by the year 2021.
The update will definitely bring on some changes as well as security patches since the usual X.5 updates aren’t always major updates but minor tweaks with security patches to make things work better.
