Still, on reports and rumors, the latest we have is the one that says Redmi could debut a Note 11S with 5G capability at some point this year. In fact, the rumor was made known by XiaomiUI, which reported to have seen the device via the IMEI database.
What gave it away is the model number K16B, which is quite similar to the K16A belonging to the Poco M4 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 11 5G (for China).
Do not forget about the fact that POCO M4 Pro 5G was a re-badged Note Note 11 5G for the global market.
As of now, among the Redmi Note 11 series, only the Note 11 Pro 5G is 5G-capable. The release of a base model with a 5G capacity in the global smartphone market would make a lot of sense.

In terms of its specifications, the device is expected to sport the Dimensity 810 5G chipset. But we might have to wait for other important details especially the starting price of the device.
