The year 2021 seems faster as we’re already in March but there have been numerous rumors and information about the flagship from OnePlus as well as the time the device will be released.

Different speculations about the release date of the device is already flying around online after the company’s CEO teased an image supposed to be the OnePlus 9 but until March 8th, we might not know much about the device.

That isn’t likely to be the launch date though, and it seems that OnePlus has put out a teaser for when it’ll be revealing the launch timing for its 2021 flagship phone.

According to rumors and reports, the Chinese brand will be releasing three OnePlus 9 series of smartphones as well as a OnePlus Watch.

The release date of the OnePlus 9 smartphone series is yet unknown but by the middle of March, we might start hearing more news and reports about the release of the device especially the release date of the device.

That image used in Lau’s tweet is a famous photo from the Apollo 11 mission that was taken on a Hasselblad camera. This seems to add further fuel to the flames that the smartphone manufacturer is entering a partnership with the famed camera brand.

That said, this will be the earliest we’ve ever seen OnePlus announce its phones in the year. 

Samsung changed its launch schedule for the Galaxy S21 series which was released earlier this year and then there is an important tech event, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021 also shifted to a later date, OnePlus too might just make some daring announcement about the release date of the next-gen OnePlus 9 series.

But do note one thing, whatever CEO Lau was teasing might not be the official OnePlus 9 because this is just based off speculations.

The specific teaser about ‘moonshot’ seems to mean we’ll be seeing some camera improvements though so we’d be especially surprised if this isn’t an upcoming smartphone but you should keep up with the latest about OnePlus only on Brumpost.
