The size of most TWS earbuds makes them very prone to being and when they do, they’re hardly replaceable unless you’re using those of some reputable company like Apple or Huawei, Samsung or Google etc but Panasonic has recently developed a vacuum device with its primary functionality being to rescue small devices when they get stuck in tiny holes and places such as train tracks.

Although this innovation is made for the Japanese, such innovation is definitely useful throughout the world at large and that’s why it’ll be a good thing if it can become global at some point later on.

Panasonic in collaboration with Japan’s JR East rail group made the vacuum device which is meant to help seek and locate small wireless devices such as the AirPods for example. The initially approved way of getting objects lost in rail tracks are mechanical grabbers but they only work well with big items while small gadgets such as TWS earbuds are usually harder for this type of device to get them.

The Panasonic vacuum device has a finger-sized tubes which is able to pick tiny devices such as TWS earbuds by suction and then hold them in place long enough for the rail authorities to grab them.

Apparently, the need for such a device was required since JR East had reported over 950 incidents of earbuds being dropped in 78 stations between the period of July and September 2020 alone.

With such technology, this will make the job of workers who have to go through the stress of looking for tiny object from rail tracks much easier. The device will also be useful in other regions where similar problems are persistent such as the New York where authorities reported the loss of similar items at an alarming rate from commuters.
