Though Huawei might be having serious issues with global market currently, it’s local market in China is still full of adoration where the company gain majority of its customers placing it right behind Samsung in the Q3 of 2020.
The big news for Huawei enthusiasts is the company’s journey to self-sufficiency prompting it to start developing its own operating system dubbed the HarmonyOS which has made a lot of headlines and the company is also going full-blown HarmonyOS with a number of smart devices come 2021.
With the P50 series on its way in a matter of months, the Chinese tech giant is rumored to be planning to release an accompanying tablet that’s completely powered by the HarmonyOS 2.0 as well.

The rumor has it that the tablet will run the PadOS HongMeng operating system which is specifically built for tablet devices. The tablet in question is said to be a pretty large-sized device with a big 12.9-inch OLED display as well as a 120Hz refresh rate and really narrow bezels around the screen.

The body will also be made of metal and will be lightweight and pretty slim. Maybe the slimmest from Huawei know knows.
Also its rumored that the tablet will be powered by the Kirin 9000 chipset indicating this to being a high-performance tablet in the region of the iPad Pro considering the interesting list of features it will have.
For the records, Huawei had moved towards the Android open source project or AOSP on which it began building its EMUI 10 skin based on the Android 10 platform sans Google Mobile Service (GMS) which was swapped out for Huawei Mobile Service (HMS). The reason for this is due to the adverse impact of the US-China trade sanctions and war which affected Huawei even though TikTok seems to have been dragged into this hot water as well but it’s somehow thriving despite the pressures.
I really can’t wait to try out the HarmonyOS on a smartphone/tablet to see how well it can match up against Android or the iOS even though the company’s CEO has teased the HarmonyOS will be faster than both Android and iOS.
