Indian mobile gamers can now download the Android version of the Battleground Mobile India according to Krafton Inc, the company behind the game.
The company made the beta version of the game available for download on Android smartphones and those who have pre-registered for the game since last month can get access to it.
And that is why the release is a closed beta as the game is only available to those that have pre-registered. You might not be able to find the game on Google Play store as listing is exclusive to the Indian market.
To get this, you’ll be needing up to 700MB of file storage space on your smartphone. You’ll also be required to create a new account on the platform and that will limit existing users of PUBG Mobile gamers from accessing their older account.
The older PUBG Mobile servers are still apparently live and that might require new Indian users to sign up for new account with a new username – different from the older ones they use else they’ll get the error stating that their account already exist.
If you’re interested in being among the beta testers of the Battleground Mobile India but failed to register last month, the window is closed – but if you’re among those that did, you can get the game via this link and click on ‘Download it on Google Play’ below.
Do not expect perfection with this release as its still in its beta state. So beta users might experience issues like internal server error.
To also get the game to run perfectly, you’ll need to give full permission to media access and you should be over 18 to be able to play the game in India.
The game is India-focused that you also get notified of the fact that all your data are stored in the country even though there have been moves from government officials to ban the game before its launch.
