Its not about being careless or not….accident happens. This could be in the case of your iPhone devices. Well, Apple are trying to be nice with their customers as a trade-in program would soon be started. Although Apple’s been running an iPhone trade-in program for quiet a while, this is actually different than the. iPhone upgrade which was a program that commenced last year. What this meant was that users (customers) could hand over their old iPhone devices to Apple and receive a gift card that they can spend on a newer one.
Currently, Apple doesn’t allow you to trade in an iPhone with a cracked screen or significant damage elsewhere — like the camera. But according to 9to5Mac, that’s not going to be the case for much longer.
As of the this week, Apple is said to begin accepting iPhone devices with a broken display, Camera, button etc. Although there are terms and conditions whig applies to this offer things like “The damage must be considered within reason”. What that means is that your over damaged iPhone might be out of Apple’s favor since the damage is out of the normal range of damage. As a matter of fact, customers can expect trade-in values around $50 for an iPhone 5S, $200 for an iPhone 6 and $250 for an iPhone 6Plus, per 9to5Mac.
But those values could be more than that but all has to do with the amount of storage your iPhone has which would consider the increment. For Apple, the hope is that adding more leniency to the trade-in program will encourage more customers to take advantage of it.
Think about how many shattered iPhone screens you’ve seen, and yeah, it definitely makes sense.
Apple still will permit Apples store employees to install screen protectors on iPhones, this is a practise that was actually disowned before. Since Apple doesn’t really sell any powerful screen protector
Still, if you’re absolutely hopeless when it comes to applying these things, you’ve now got somewhere to turn; it’ll just require spending some cash first.
