As we all know, Apple did a really great job on its iMac computer making them widely used by people all around the world.
Though expensive but its worth the price because you just can’t miss the beautiful interface and ease of access to the internet. Anyway,we aren’t here to market the iMac.
We are here to take screenshots. So the question is How do you take screenshots on your Apple Mac computer?
Its quite straightforward since Apple had some combination of keys set apart to make the job easier.
And yes, you can always opt for Applications or simply use the built-in command to make this happen.
Now, in Mac’s case, you can always grab a whole screen in a screenshot or grab part of it. All screenshots are then saved within the system in a “.PNG” format.
TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF WHOLE MAC SCREEN
So to take screenshot, you will need to go to the screen you want to grab and then press Command + Shift + 3 and then your screen is grabbed. So where you go is your Desktop where you locate the recently grabbed screenshot.
TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF A PART OF MAC SCREEN
To do this, you simply need to:
1. Press Command + Shift + 4: Upon pressing these keys, there shows a crosshair pointer that indicates you to mark out where to screen grab.
2. Move the Crosshair pointer: After the crosshair pointer shows, you can move it to mark out the exact location where you might want to take as screenshot.
3. Drag to select an area: This way, you might simply need to hold the Shift key or Space bar or Option key in order yo change the selection move.
4. When you are through: Release the mouse or the trackpad button and voila, your marked area will be screenshot. But in case you want to cancel that, you simply might need to press the ESC key before releasing the button.
5. Search for the screenshots on your desktop.

MORE TIPS
1. In Apple’s Mac PC, Screenshots are usually saved and encoded in a .PNG file format right on the Desktop especially from in your Mac OS X V10.6 and above. The default screenshot names are usually “Screen shotdateattime.PNG” This means if you take a screenshot on your Mac PC today, it will be saved as “Screen 2016-03-27-11-44” something like that.
2.To save your screenshot to the Clipboard instead of a file on your desktop, use Command-Shift-Control-4.
3. You can open screenshots with Preview or other image-editing apps.
4. Some apps, such as DVD Player,might not let you take screenshots of their windows. So you might need a third party applications.
